Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema to Arsenal Could Still Happen
But Balague’s latest update will disappoint those members of the Gunners faithful that genuinely held hope of the 27-year-old joining Arsenal.

The France worldwide has been on Arsene Wenger’s wanted list for some time, and it looks as though he may have finally convinced the Gunners board to spend big to secure his signature.
Keown has urged Wenger to splash the cash on French striker Benzema, to reduce the goal-scoring burden on Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud.
Having often played with a lone striker, signing the Argentinian would suggest that Rafa Benitez is willing to let Benzema move on while his value is at its highest, rather than risk it plummeting if he is consigned to the bench.
“I don’t believe the fans have already seen the best of me. [Edinson] Cavani’s been mentioned, whether he’s a player who could come in”, Parlour told Goal.
“He’s got great experience with the national side and the teams he’s been at so, if they’re available, who knows?”
“We know how hard it is to buy players now”.
Real Madrid are considering moves to replace Karim Benzema if they elect to sell the Frenchman this summer according to Spanish source AS. Whether we can get them is another matter.

There is, of course, also the possibility that if Benzema and Aguero both really wanted changes of scenery, the two clubs could work out some sort of deal between them, and leave Arsenal out of the mix entirely. Arsenal boars have listed other candidates, but Benzema remains Wenger’s top priority.
