Mourinho ready to manage ‘giants’ Manchester United
“Jose is quite simply the best manager in the game today”. Having won three league titles in about four seasons and a few more months, he has proved his salt amply enough domestically.

Roy Keane has branded Jose Mourinho “irritating”, while hitting out at the newly-appointed Manchester United manager claiming the Portuguese tactician was not his “cup of tea”. “His track record of success is ideal to take the club forward”.
Calling on his new club to forget spluttering three years under David Moyes and Van Gaal, the Portuguese manager insisted that he is fully geared up to bring back the glory days at United. He continued to say that they also know “what I can give them” and this is what will make things good for the club.
“I think it’s very important and curious that I play so many times against Manchester United and I play so many times at Old Trafford with other clubs”, he said.
Mourinho has been given a three-year contract, which British media estimated being worth between 30 million and 45 million pounds ($43.99-$65.98 million).
Terry says he is already looking forward to the arrival of Conte and Mourinho, along with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, to the Premier League.
After Alex Ferguson retiring at 2013, United could not finished from the top three of the league.
They may not be the best of friends but Southampton manager Ronald Koeman slammed Manchester United for the treatment of former boss Louis van Gaal.
“But Louis was being Louis, and then he said goodbye with a trophy, which I think is a great achievement”.
Mourinho has been out of work since being fired at Chelsea last December, with the side languishing close to the relegation zone after a disastrous start to their title defence.
However, United are nearly certain to hand Mourinho an unprecedented wad of cash for the summer transfer window, with some sources speculating an eye-watering £270million budget.

Earlier in the day Mourinho spoke of the “special honour” of managing United after being confirmed as the new boss at 9:30am yesterday morning.
