Since Windows 10 shipped, if you installed the Remote Desktop app from the Store you were using our Windows [Phone] 8.1 app. As we exit the initial preview phase, we are moving the Universal app to replace the 8.1 version under the Remote Desktop name for devices running both Windows 10 and Windows 10 mobile.

AirAsia app was already available in the Store before the release of the new version, but it was built for Windows Phone, therefore it wasn’t Universal. The app can be downloaded from the Windows Store now.

With the Windows 10 release, Viber not only brings across all of the previously enjoyed features, but there’s also access to public chats, end-to-end encryption, as well as People app integration.
This is great news for existing users of the platform, but is unlikely to make much difference to its fortunes, with the low market share for Windows 10 Mobile ensuring it will continue to be an afterthought for most app developers.

But we hope global airlines will re-consider developing Windows 10 apps once again, because Microsoft invests lots of time and money in making the Windows Store a respectable market. Once you sign into the app, you’ll get a notification that looks like it came straight out of an iPhone.

What’s even better is that once you obtain the app, you’ll be able to download it from the My Library section of the Store, regardless of your region.
