The boxer’s spokesperson says he is in fair condition and being treated by a team of doctors.

Boxing legend Muhammad Ali has been hospitalized with a respiratory issue, his rep said Thursday. A brief hospital stay is expected but he declined to say where Ali is hospitalised or when he was admitted.

Ali, who has been battling advanced Parkinson’s disease, has made few public appearances in recent years.

Muhammad Ali, 74, has been suffering from a respiratory issue that led him to hospitalization for treatment.

The three-time world champion was last hospitalised in January 2015 following a severe urinary tract infection.
