Update 1:53 p.m.: A disturbance brewing in the Caribbean Sea has been given a 40 percent chance of development over the next five days by the National Hurricane Center.

The National Hurricane Center in Miami said the potential for heavy rainfall continues over coastal North Carolina. Then – a nice change for you! – a less-humid high pressure system could build into the region by Tuesday and Wednesday. The next named storm that forms this season will be named Colin.
Check The Palm Beach Post radar map. The Hurricane Center says there is just a 30% shot for it to develop after that.
Bonnie formed as a tropical storm last week, prior to Memorial Day weekend. So here’s a heads-up on an early season system that could be impacting Jacksonville & surrounding areas as well as much of Florida next week. We will monitor this area over the weekend and into next week if there are more developments.
Tropical Depression Bonnie re-developed Thursday off the coast of North Carolina.
Forecast models consistenly show this possible system hitting Florida on Tuesday.
