No-Show: Trump Now Says Debate With Sanders Would Be ‘Inappropriate’
“We are ready to debate Donald Trump”, Sanders campaign manager Jeff Weaver told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer.

“Game on”, the Vermont Senator wrote.
Mr Trump had said he was willing to debate Mr Sanders but his campaign later said it would be “inappropriate” because Hillary Clinton is poised to win the Democratic nomination. Sanders and Mr. Trump have for the future of our country.
Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump backed off a promise that he would debate Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders prior to California’s Democratic primary election on June 7.
Meanwhile, one of Trump’s top aides said in an interview there was no reason to expect Trump would pick a woman or someone from a minority group as his vice president because that would be “pandering.”
But Trump was never going to accept, and that’s when he, like a jock who had suckered a nerd into believing they would hang out, pulled the rug out from under Sanders.
“I heard that he was going to debate me, then I heard that he was not going to debate me, then I heard that he was going to debate me”.
Still locked in a heated primary battle against Clinton, Sanders said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that she should find a vice-presidential pick who doesn’t have a cozy relationship with corporations. “Trump is a bully, he’s a big tough guy”.
“No, no, no, that’s not what I’m saying”, Sanders responded, arguing that the superdelegates have a “grave responsibility” to make sure presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump doesn’t become president.
Trump on Friday said it would be “inappropriate” to hold a debate with Sanders, throwing cold water on an idea that had captivated the political world.
Bernie Sanders is warning Hillary Clinton against picking a moderate Democrat as her running mate. “If he paid a sum to charity, I would love to do that”.
Trump had said he would debate Sanders if he could raise $10 million for charity, but it was never clear how serious he was about the whole thing. “But for me right now, I continue to focus on how we can rebuild a disappearing middle class, deal with poverty, guarantee health care to all of our people as a right”.
By Friday, multiple networks came forward with proposals to host the debate and provide a charitable donation. “And we can have a lot of fun with it”, said Trump, adding that his campaign had already received several calls from television networks interested in hosting the debate.

Turning to the underlying question, Sanders explained, “We knew when we were in this, that we were taking on the entire Democratic establishment”.
