George continues comeback by earning video game cover
After making a remarkable comeback from a broken right leg, Indiana Pacers’ three-time All-Star Paul George was rewarded by being put on the cover of the wildly popular National Basketball Association 2K17 video game.

George, 26, sustained a serious right leg injury during a Team USA scrimmage two years ago that caused him to miss 76 games for the Pacers during the 2014-15 season. However, 2K Sports still has not officially announced whether George is indeed on the cover.
His determination to overcome his setbacks and regain his on-court glory are probably what influenced 2K Sports’ decision in making him the upcoming game’s cover athlete. The normal release date is September 20th.
Last year, National Basketball Association 2K16 saw multiple cover athletes, as well as a special edition featuring an alternate Michael Jordan cover.
In the season that just ended, George earned third-team All-NBA honors and second-team All-Defensive honors as the Pacers returned to the playoffs. George rounds out the duo for the good folks at 2K this season. And congrats to the state of IN, who have an athlete on the cover of something.
On the two collector’s editions of the basketball game Kobe Bryant, who retired earlier this year, will be on it as a final tribute to his career.
The NBA 2K17 Standard Edition will be available in both digital and physical formats for $59.99 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment systems, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows PC platforms.
Special Kobe lenticular cover insert.
