“Donald Trump’s ideas aren’t just different”, Clinton told cheering supporters in San Diego.

Speaking in San Diego, California on Thursday, Clinton painted the businessman-turned-reality TV star as “temperamentally unfit” for the job of commander-in-chief, calling his campaign nothing but “a series of freakish rants, personal feuds and outright lies”. “He is trying to scam America the way he scammed all those people at Trump U”, Clinton said, referring to newly released documents in a lawsuit over the now-defunct school.
Clinton and Trump offer starkly different visions of USA foreign policy.
Clinton’s rebuke was aimed at his foreign policy platform, which suggests curtailing America’s role overseas, renegotiating trade agreements and re-evaluating American treaty commitments.
Trump tried a preemptive strike on Clinton’s speech this morning, saying that “Crooked Hillary, who I would love to call Lyin’ Hillary, is getting ready to totally misrepresent my foreign policy positions”. Just look at these numbers:A whopping 64 percent of voters ranked Trump “poor” or “very poor” when it comes to handling an global crisis in an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll in April.
“This is not someone who should ever have the nuclear codes”.
What’s the worst part of having to sit through a Hillary Clinton speech?
Clinton’s campaign feels, because of her experience as a senator and secretary of state, Clinton will be able to use her experience to effectively hit Trump on national security.
“She doesn’t have the temperament to be president. We can not let him roll the dice with America”, Clinton said.
But Clinton aides said they were aware that losing California to Sanders would be embarrassing for her campaign and could hand the Vermont senator the needed momentum to justify staying in the race through Democratic convention in July.
She mocked Trump’s Twitter blasts and predicted he was preparing more as she spoke.
On Thursday night, Sanders sent out a statement on Clinton’s speech focusing on what he sees as weakness in her record. “She’ll reaffirm her conviction that strong, principled American leadership makes both the United States and the world more secure”.
Her self-congratulatory shout-out on the Iran nuclear deal, especially with what we know now, was grating and silly.
She said his anti-Muslim rhetoric and talk of American isolationism bolstered the so-called Islamic State, and argued against his disdain for Mexico and Mexican immigrants coming into the country.
The former secretary of state and likely Democratic nominee says she is offering a “smart and principled” foreign policy that centers on keeping America in a leading role around the globe.

“Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton did not mince words while attacking the presumptive Republican presidential nominee during a speech Thursday in San Diego that painted Donald Trump as an unqualified candidate with “dangerously incoherent” ideas that include “outright lies”. Foreign policy adviser Jake Sullivan said Clinton would make clear how high the stakes are in the race, as well as share her “larger vision” of what this country is all about.
