The 23-year-old Swiss worldwide agreed a long-term deal with the Gunners last week.
And the 23-year-old, who was previously linked with Liverpool, has opted to take on Arsenal’s No29 shirt for his first season at The Emirates outfit as Xhaka looks to justify his transfer fee.
“Now it’s official. From next season on I will play for Arsenal”, Xhaka wrote on Instagram.
Wolfsburg left-back Ricardo Rodriguez has claimed he would be excited to unite with global team-mate Granit Xhaka at club level amid reports he could be bound for Arsenal. I’ve seen the pitch, it’s unbelievable.
Xhaka, meanwhile, was delighted to complete his “dream” move to Arsenal. “It was a dream for me and I’m happy now”. “He’s got this aggressiveness about him that will help him in the Premier League, and he’s a great ball player and ball victor as well”.
“He’s got the ability to play the Arsenal way”.
Djourou has also revealed Xhaka came to him to ask about the his own experiences playing for Arsenal and London life in general.
“He’s a great ball player and a ball victor so I think in the midfield he could help a lot”.
“I’m not giving such thing any thought whatsoever”, he said.
