Louis Van Gaal followed this up and was given a gargantuan amount of money to spend on a mixed bag of players leading to fans calling for a sporting director to steer the club away from making future transfer mistakes. The season did not go as planned and that hurt my confidence a bit. If Barcelona want someone who competes with that, then they should look for another manager.
