“Among those rescued is a girl believed to be one of the Chibok Government Secondary School girls that were abducted on 14 April 2014”, he said.

“We are happy and excited about Serah’s rescue, including that of the others rescued with her because she is an innocent victim of Boko Haram just like our daughters”. She was taken to a hospital.

This handout picture taken in Damboa and released by the Nigerian army on May 20, 2016 shows Serah Luka after she was released during an operation conducted by Nigeria’s army in which local civilian vigilantes took part.

During the emotional meeting, President Buhari held the baby Amina gave birth to while a captive of the terror group.

Buhari said he was delighted she was back and could resume her education.

Ms Ali, 19, was shielded from journalists when she arrived at the presidential villa, with her mother carrying the baby.

“She is receiving high-level medical attention and the best doctors in the state are attending to her”.

Amina made world headlines Wednesday when news broke that she had escaped the Islamist terror group after enduring more than two years in its clutches.

Akume, in the statement, said; ‘We are excited with the news of yet another rescued Chibok girl. Fifty-seven escaped in the hours that followed.

She was found Tuesday and reunited with her family. Human rights organizations have said that Boko Haram uses women as sex slaves or in forced marriages to its fighters. Amina Ali’s mother and brother were also brought with her to the compound. “She was very happy to see her but she was also very sad”.

A senior military source maintained it was “beyond reasonable doubt” that the schoolgirl was one of them.

“For, if President Buhari had remained indifferent like the former president, the penetration of Sambisa forest couldn’t have been possible”.

The Nigerian military has named the man as Mohammed Hayatu and says he claims to be Amina’s husband.

“We celebrate with the families of the rescued girls, and commend the gallantry of the Nigerian Troops and the Civilian Joint Task Force in trying to end the insurgency in the North east of Nigeria”, he said. “The military is already moving into the forest”.

The kidnapping of the 276 Chibok girls triggered the global social media campaign #BringBackOurGirls, involving US First Lady Michelle Obama and a host of celebrities.

One of the biggest criticisms of Nigeria’s previous government was its failure to locate the girls.

In all, 218 girls remain missing after their abduction.
