Jace will be sentenced on June 10.
“A jury of six women and six men deliberated about two hours before finding Michael Andrew Jace, 53, guilty of the second-degree murder of April Jace on May 19, 2014”, the LA County DA’s office announced in a statement.
Michael Jace (L), accompanied by his attorney Peter Carr (R), appears at an arraignment for murder and intentionally discharging a firearm at Los Angeles Superior Court in Los Angeles, California, USA, May 22. Their two sons, who were then both under the age of 10, were in the home at the time of the shooting. Jace has never denied killing April, though his attorneys argued that he should be shared with voluntary manslaughter since he didn’t intend to kill her.
Mrs Jones was shot once in the back and twice in the legs.

Michael Jace is an American actor who is best known for playing the part of Julien Lowe in the TV drama “The Shield.’ He has also acted opposite Russell Crowe in the thriller ‘State of Play” but his role was uncredited.
Jace told detectives he didn’t intend to kill his wife and only wanted to inflict pain.
Jamon Hicks, Jace’s attorney, said that Jace is remorseful for the crime and that he accepts responsibility. Her body was found inside the couple’s home along with their boys, who were unharmed.
Anyone who was a fan of FX’s The Shield will remember Michael Jace’s character being one of the few people who wasn’t unethical.
The victim’s adult son, Savoy Brown, said the verdict handed down made the family feel pleased and he hoped when sentencing came that Jace would show more emotion. The boy, Nehemiah, testified Wednesday that he saw his father bring his 40-year-old mother into a hallway, where she fell down.
The former actor is facing up to 40 years in prison.
