Today, the forecast calls for 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon. Southeast winds around 5 miles per hour until around midnight becoming light. Expect lows around 70 degrees.

STRONG SUNDAY T’STORMS: We’ll have a lot of scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day on Sunday. Highs today will also be held down into the low 70’s due to a decent cloud deck, even with partial clearing in the afternoon. It will be cloudy and foggy in the morning, and we may see a few showers, but it won’t be a washout completely.

An upper level low pressure system spinning around over our area has been helping to create the sometimes flooding rainfall.

Sunday: Rain with a chance of thunderstorms after 11 a.m. Those rain showers are then expected to continue into Sunday, with downpours and thunderstorms likely at times. Highs on Saturday will be in the mid-70s. Lows in the lower 60s. High temperatures climb to near 80 again on Saturday.
