It’s Finally Happening: Instagram Is Changing Your Feed
The Facebook-owned photo- and video-sharing network announced in a blog post that users already have or will soon have a feed curated via algorithm, rather than merely seeing posts in chronological order.

Do you think the new Instagram feed is better or worse than before?
The new Instagram feed is based on an algorithm working behind-the-scenes to pick the posts that it believes you’ll want to see more than any others. The company announced this week that it’s officially transitioning from a chronological feed to an algorithm created to surface the photos and videos you care about most.
Though if the opt-out were implemented in the same way as Instagram’s parent company Facebook’s “top stories” vs. The company also reiterated that with this tweaked feed, you won’t miss any posts and that no matter how many accounts you follow, you should still see the latest posts from your best friends.
‘As Instagram has grown, it’s become harder to keep up with all the photos and videos people share.
‘As we begin, we’re focusing on optimizing the order – all the posts will still be there, just in a different order’.

I don’t generally pay attention to the times of posts on my Facebook feed, and much less on Instagram.
