Jeff Weaver – who spoke to Fox News and CNN on Wednesday – was asked about reports of pressure to get rid of Wasserman Schultz as head of the party.

2008: She raised 0 million for Clinton as co-chairwoman of Clinton’s first presidential campaign, a fact cited by detractors as evidence of her bias against Sanders.

Bee remained unconvinced. “No”, she said, dismissing his explanation. Debbie Wasserman Schultz from the chairmanship of the Democratic National Committee, where she is still employed for reasons known only to god.

The lawmaker said senators huddled on the chamber floor last week to talk about Wasserman Schultz’s future and estimated that about a dozen have weighed in during private conversations.

“No one is calling on Debbie Wasserman Schultz to step down”, she said.

“Democracy is not always nice and quiet and gentle but that is where the Democratic Party should go”, Sanders said.

“They need to know this is their party”, the Clinton-supporting senator said, referencing those who’ve stood by Sanders in recent months. He balked at the suggestion that his presence in the race is hurting rival Hillary Clinton’s chance at defeating presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump. And with Democrats casting about for ways to placate Sanders leading up to the convention, DWS becomes an attractive target.

Despite rumblings from multiple anonymous sources, the Democratic Party has, by-and-large, been supportive of the DNC chair. “I told you that Debbie Wasserman Schultz has the respect of her colleagues in the House for her hard work to unify and to win the elections”.

Sanders and his campaign condemned the outburst and death threats his supporters sent to the Nevada chairwoman, but refused to apologize for them.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi expressed her support for Wasserman Schultz, a Florida congresswoman, Tuesday. He said if he was elected president, he would not reappoint her to lead the party. “Why give up a good thing by having Wasserman Schultz defeated now?” The party chairman is traditionally selected by the party’s presidential nominee and the DNC.

The murmurs come following months of animosity between Wasserman Schultz and the Sanders campaign, which go as far back as previous year, when the Vermont senator accused her of scheduling too few debates at times that no one would be able to watch them.
