Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said that Donald Trump’s economic policies are a “recipe” for lower wages, fewer jobs and more debt warning union members that he could “bankrupt America like he’s bankrupted his companies”.

According to Langer Research, Trump’s “enhanced competitiveness reflects consolidation in his support since his primary opponents dropped out”.
Other national polls, such as one also released on Sunday, show that Clinton had a three percentage point lead.
However, this was now the fifth poll since the end of the April to put the billionaire ahead of, or tied with, Clinton.
In the last ABC News/Washington Post poll from March 3, Clinton was leading with 50 percent support versus Trump’s 41 percent. Seventy-eight percent of Democrats and 80 percent of Republicans say they will vote for Clinton and Trump, respectively.

When Clinton’s “unfavourable” rating is combined with Trump’s, the two, together, are the most unpopular likely candidates for a presidential election since the ABC/Post election polls began.
The former Democratic president is scheduled Tuesday to hold an evening rally for his wife at an outdoor plaza in Espanola while Trump is stopping in Albuquerque for an event that is expected to draw protests. “We need a president who will use the bully pulpit to stand up for working families”, she said.

The NBC/WSJ poll was conducted May 15-19 of 1,000 registered voters, including 450 cell phone-only respondents and another 46 reached on a cell but who also have a landline.
