Radamel Falcao: John Terry backs striker to fill Diego Costa’s boots while
His current deal runs until the end of the coming season, but he’s recently said he wants another two years in the big time. No concerns or no protections, it’s a position we are very strong. We play very well with a striker of his sort.

Falcao was such a flop at Old Trafford that the mere mention of his name often draws ire, and to see him fail today has led to a lot of schadenfreude from fans of United as well as the football community in general.
However, Mourinho is confident that he will be able to extract the best from the former Porto man next season as the Blues manager moved swiftly to replace Didier Drogba, who left the west London club in the summer. He’s not just a guy that can score a goal, he can also contribute a lot to the quality of the game.
Mourinho is in his second spell at the Blues after his return and said he was concerned about Terry’s effectiveness at the highest level after the club captain struggled for form.
“I let Eden play only for 70 but Falcao was in and certainly the team was direct, was objective, he (Falcao) was holding the ball very well, the team was closing the lines and playing in the opposition half”.
Everton remain adamant that they will not allow the England player to leave at any price.
“I just thought he was up for it that day and Gary felt the same”.
Remy deserves more starts at Chelsea, and he has to remain as the first backup to Costa, but as Sam Tighe reminded us on Tuesday, Falcao and Costa played together at Atletico during the 2012/13 season-the Colombian’s last truly prolific campaign.
And after confirming that last season’s top scorer Diego Costa is fit for Sunday after suffering a hamstring problem, he hinted that he may even line up with two up front.

“In the last 20 minutes against Barcelona we played with Loic Remy and Falcao”, Mourinho added. Regardless of what people say, you can’t take away what I have won and done in the game.
