Donald Trump Attacks Trump University Judge Over Mexican Heritage
Recalling his comments from last week, in which he called Curiel “a hater of Donald Trump” and “totally biased”, Trump alleged that the judge could not handle the case impartially due to his Mexican ancestry and his membership in an association of Latino lawyers.

Trump told the Journal that his plan to close off the US border with Mexico and his stated stance against illegal immigration makes the fact that Curiel’s parents are Mexican immigrants relevant.
Trump has maintained that Judge Gonzalo Curiel, the judge presiding over the Trump University fraud case, can not treat him fairly because, well, “I’m building a wall”.
Trump has controversially gone after Curiel, who is presiding over a class-action lawsuit against Trump’s now-defunct training program in California, and suggested his “Mexican heritage” could prevent him from judging Trump fairly as a result of Trump’s strident anti-immigration rhetoric. Though they had once worked together as prosecutors, Jason Forge told the Journal they did not socialize as friends.
“I’m a journalist here at Fox News and I’ve been doing legal commentary here for 10 years”, Kelly said.
He said the case should have been thrown out ‘but because it was me and because there’s a hostility toward me by the judge – tremendous hostility – beyond belief’. He also called Trump a “blowhard”. “He’s a Mexican. We’re building a wall between here and Mexico”. But the fact that Trump simultaneously launched a racist attack while calling into question whether he will respect the rule of law if elected president is no reason to vote for a Democrat, Ryan insists.
Some GOP leaders have vowed not to support Trump, including 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, who tapped Ryan as his running mate. Trump views judges as just another target for his bullying, like corporate executives who ship jobs overseas or the PGA tour.
“I don’t have thin skin I have very strong, very thick skin”, Trump said.
Then on Thursday, in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Trump dug in his heels despite howls of protest from people who actually have a sense of decency.
The San Diego Union-Tribune is urging its Republican readers to write in late former President Ronald Reagan’s name at the polls during Tuesday’s California primary to send a message to Donald Trump. Curiel grew up in Indiana. “In Trump’s version of America, this Latino family isn’t really American”.
Raul Curiel, of Hammond, said his family has been keeping up with the news about Trump’s comments.
“The concern is that he would act unbounded in the presidency, in a way that doesn’t follow the law”, said John McGinnis, a Northwestern University law professor. Within minutes of Trump’s speech, the judge issued an order to unseal internal Trump University documents that reportedly revealed details in the business’s operations.
Trump did not respond to a request for comment placed through his office.

The lawsuit states that students were made to fill out the satisfaction surveys before the courses ended and that they were not anonymous, leaving people afraid to criticize their lecturers.
