Phil Rudd, the former drummer for rock band AC/DC, was remanded on bail in a New Zealand court on Monday after pleading not guilty to breaching the conditions of his home detention, local media reported.

Mr Rudd arrived back at Tauranga District Court this morning to make what will be his eighth stint in the dock since he was charged with various offences in November.
Rudd is under an alcohol ban as one of the conditions of an eight-month sentence of home detention after being convicted of threatening to kill an employee.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, a New Zealand judge said Rudd could remain in home confinement on bail until November, when a bearing will be carried out for the alleged breach. He typically doesn’t wear dentures, sometimes making his soft-spoken answers hard to understand.
He acknowledged in a court summary of facts that he offered cash, vehicles and a house to an associate after asking him to have the victim “taken out”. He was subsequently given a brand new bail situation: that he bear drug and alcohol testing every time police request it.
Rudd’s lawyer Craig Tuck said Monday he is appealing Rudd’s convictions and sentence.
AC/DC has replaced Rudd for its current world tour, which includes two concerts in New Zealand at the end of the year.
