Selfies and six packs to derail Arsenal’s title hopes: Keane

The Gunners have not win the English Premier Leagu title since the 2003/2005 season and the former United midfielder believes that drought won’t end anytime soon.

“Arsenal have some really good players – some good characters who roll their sleeves up”, Keane said while speaking in a recent interview, as quoted by Sky Sports.

“We’ve the same thing every year”, said Keane, when asked about Arsenal’s chances of winning their first league title for 12 years. Instead of focusing on winning Premier League titles, it’s all about how their bodies look and how their hair is.

10-years on since he last played against the Gunners, the FA Cup final in 2005, Keane did not hold back, scornfully putting down his old adversaries. United have gone away from what they were about – being a club whose squad evolves from one season to the next. “It doesn’t happen that quickly”.

Continuing on with champions Chelsea, Keane believes it will be selfishness, not selfies, which ought to help the west Londoners on their way to retaining the Premier League next term.

Arsenal, under manager Arsene Wenger, have become one of the most dazzling attacking sides in Europe but a perceived lack of leadership has undermined their ability to make a sustained title challenge for a number of years. I’m not sure many would get into the Chelsea team.

“United will be better and they will need to be stronger out of the blocks, but if I was a betting man – which I’m not – I’d still go with Chelsea. Their team is the one with the strongest spine – John Terry, Eden Hazard – and if they can add John Stones to their team then they will be even harder to beat”.

“If their players show the same hunger and desire they did last year, they will do it again. They appear to be a driven bunch and, if they can keep Diego Costa fit [and] keep their wits about them, then it’s hard to look elsewhere”.

Say cheese Roy Keane has attacked the Arsenal team for concentrating too much on taking selfies
