Hillary Clinton’s speech in San Diego on Thursday lived up to its billing as a spirited frontal assault on presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump.

Others find it harder to stomach the idea of backing a candidate they fought tooth-and-nail.

She talked about his “bizarre rants, personal fueds, and outright lies”. “Just like being interviewed on the same episode of “60 Minutes” as Putin was, is not the same thing as actually dealing with Putin”, she mocked Trump.

“Bernie Sanders supporters are still very much looking forward to the opportunity to cast a ballot for him in a state like California”, Clinton’s press secretary Brian Fallon said Wednesday.

She defended the Iran nuclear deal and said a Trump presidency could start overseas wars and ruin the U.S. economy.

“She made up my foreign policy”, Trump said.

In recent days, Clinton has criticized Trump over his past business practices, his recent promises to raise money for veterans and his now defunct education company, Trump University.

The result? Clinton succeeded in generating the same kind of attention Trump receives for his frequent rallies and news conferences: Her remarks were widely carried on the television news networks.

Then the Trump adviser added: “You couldn’t get the truth from Hillary Clinton if you waterboarded her”. Often, she did so with biting sarcasm. “She’s behind Donald Trump in a number of polls, we’ve got the Justice Department likely to render a judgment that finds some culpability somewhere, don’t you think. that the Democratic Party will say ‘Why do we need this?”

According to Dalrymple, President Clinton also praised Hillary Clinton’s work ethic and told stories about her work with the Children’s Defense Fund. Reading poorly from the telepromter (sic)!

“I believe the person the Republicans have nominated for president can not do the job”, Clinton said. Most of what she had to say in terms of policy goals dealt with terrorism generally (“the threat is real and urgent”, she said, referring to the San Bernardino shootings) and the Islamic State specifically.

Juliet Crites is the co-chair of Yolo United for Hillary, a Yolo County grassroots organization that supports Hillary Clinton’s campaign. And, ‘Donald Trump is going to do that.’ A friend of mine was in the room and said, ‘You never said you were going to do that.’ I said that’s right – she’s makes it up.

Fallon said Clinton believes firmly in capitalism but “she thinks free market capitalism is prone to excesses just the same”.

“Do we want him making those calls – someone thin-skinned and quick to anger who lashes out at the smallest criticism?”

Clinton is set to unleash a major foreign policy attack on Donald Trump at her Thursday morning speech at The Prado in Balboa Park. While his supporters have repeatedly said they like his tough talk, Mrs Clinton is betting that the broader USA electorate will not. “We can be greater still”.
