Conforto was scheduled to have Saturday off, as the Mets are facing left-hander Justin Nicolino. Later in the game, Plawecki twice batted with two runners on base and one out and was retired; he popped out in foul territory in the fourth and struck out in the sixth.
The 23-year-old Mets slugger enjoyed a scorching April, batting.365 with four homers and 18 RBI while being elevated to the three-hole in the lineup.
