During a campaign stop in San Diego on Friday, presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump devoted a significant amount of time to attacking the federal judge overseeing the ongoing case against Trump University, suggesting the judge is a “hater” who is biased against him.

In one of the presidential campaign year’s more grisly spectacles, protesters in New Mexico opposing Donald Trump’s candidacy threw burning T-shirts, plastic bottles and other items at police officers, injuring several, and toppled trash cans and barricades.

As the rally ended, police swarmed the area in riot gear, warning people they were part of an unlawful assembly and that everyone who remained there illegally and was subject to arrest.

“If I win, believe me, we’re going to start opening up the water so that you can have your farmers survive, so that your job market will get better”, Trump told cheering supporters.

Trump supporters countered with chants of “USA, USA” and “Build that wall”, prompting responses of “F– your wall”.

“If you’re in first place, you don’t want to debate a guy whose in second place”, Trump said.

Speaking later to a rapturous crowd in San Diego, Trump assailed Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton and vowed to seal the nearby border with a “beautiful” wall.

In addition to burning one of Trump’s trademark “Make America Great Again” caps, protesters also decapitated a Trump piñata, carried “Fuck Trump” signs and chanted “Fuck Donald Trump!” They even used pepper-sprayed to disperse protestors. “The judge was appointed by Barack Obama”, Trump told a campaign rally on the same day as a hearing was held in San Diego over his online real estate school, which closed in 2010.
