Clinton, Trump neck-in-neck in new national polls & UN-favorability ratings

In fact, it went so far as to not even mention that Trump came out ahead in the poll for a full five paragraphs.

Similarly, more than a third, or 36 percent, of respondents who said they would back Trump in the general election attributed their support to “opposition to Hillary Clinton”.

A Clinton-Trump face-off is one likely to accentuate the negatives.

This is while 21 percent said they “hate” the former first lady and 24 percent expressed the same sentiment toward the NY businessman.

“She is not prepared to have a discussion with me about how she is going to help California address the major crises we face”, he said.

But another important reason for his large leads over the Republican nominee is Sanders’ popularity among voters.

It looks like Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have their work cut out for them. The senator and self-described socialist has not dropped out of the race, however, and he has been slow to support Clinton.

A poll pitting Trump against Bernie Sanders also showed a dead heat, with both the Republican and the progressive champion at 44 percent each.

Hillary Clinton blasted Donald Trump for being full of “hype” Sunday, saying there was “no evidence” his campaign ideas would be successful.

“I think Secretary Clinton is jumping the gun a little bit”, Sanders said.

Nonpartisan polling organisation Real Clear Politics showed that Sanders – who has run as a socialist supporting a political revolution against Wall Street – had a 13% advantage over Trump. “I don’t want to see the American people voting for the lesser of two evils”, he said.

Sanders says that he intends to stay in the race up until the convention, so he is eager to debate Clinton once more before this final handful of primary races.
