The current average price is $2.37 in Tennessee & $2.50 in Georgia, according to AAA.

Delaware-gas-prices-dot-com reports there are just over a dozen stations selling a gallon of regular for $2.43 or slightly less. “We usher in the bigger decreases mid September, that’s when we roll around to the cheaper winter gas, and that’s when demand starts dropping”.

“It feels good to see gas prices drop during the middle of the busy summer driving season”, said Mark Jenkins, spokesman, AAA – The Auto Club Group.

Experts say it’s possible that gas could cost as low as $2 per gallon in some parts of the country later this year.

Falling crude oil prices are to thank for these lower prices at the pump.

The national average price is $2.65 per gallon.

And the drop is the fastest we’ve seen since January.
