The woman has not been identified and her connection to Sarkar is unknown.
“William, Klug, UCLA professor is not the kind of person you think of a professor”, Sarkar wrote.
However, University sources cited by the Times called Sarkar’s allegations “completely untrue” and said Klug “bent over backward to help Sarkar finish his dissertation and graduate even though the quality of his work was not stellar”. She was enrolled to the university’s medical school for this summer’s term.

Sarkar had a “kill list” with multiple names that included professor Bill Klug, Hasti who was found dead in a Minneapolis suburb and another UCLA professor who was not harmed, a law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation told The Associated Press.
On Wednesday, police found a note where Sarkar shot and killed himself that led police to his home in St. Paul.
He came to the US on a student visa in 2001 after earning a degree in aerospace engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology at Kharagpur. “The only enemy she had was him, I guess”, Johnson said.

Multiple neighbors identify the victim as Ashley Hasti, who reportedly lived in the home with her father Wayne.
