PROPHETS OF RAGE Planning To Stage Protest At Republican National Convention
Speaking to Bloomberg Politics (via Rolling Stone), Morello revealed that the band will descend on the Republic National Convention taking place in Cleveland this July.

“This is not the kind of thing you broadcast to the local authorities, prior to arrival”, he laughed, trying to keep his words short as to not give too much away.
“Anything’s possible”, Morello reluctantly said when asked if Prophets of Rage had plans to crash the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
Rage Against the Machine reunited in 2008 and put on a concert just days before the Republican National Convention took place in the Minnesota city. Protests resulted that eventually saw the arrests of more than 100 people.
Before forming his newest music group, Morello spent several month on the road as a touring musician with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.
But he did confirm that the rock-rap band will be doing their thing “in and around the RNC”.
“Dangerous times do demand risky songs”, says Morello of the group’s formation during an KROQ interview.
But Prophets of Rage will play classic RATM songs, as well as tracks from Public Enemy and Cypress Hill. Their formation was announced via a website on June 1st, which now bears the message “We can no longer stand on the sidelines of history”.
“We’re gonna set that record straight once and for all”, Morello commented. What they’re being offered up, through the tiny funnel of the electoral process, is a racist demagogue on the one hand, and a great dreamer on the other hand, and in the middle is the lesser of three evils.

But Morello, who was wearing a hat that read “Make America Rage Again” – a take on presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump’s campaign slogan – was a bit coy when giving further details.
