War of words escalates as Clinton knocks Trump
This is a disturbing pattern of influence, mischaracterizations and a lack of proper coverage that the major media outlets have followed ever since Bernie Sanders announced his candidacy last summer.

They also could push Hillary Clinton a lot closer to becoming the Democrats’ presumptive nominee. “It sounds like the campaign is not quite over”.
Sanders is expected to return to his Vermont home on Wednesday and advisers say he intends to ramp up his courtship of the party’s superdelegates, a process that is already underway, pointing to polls showing him faring better than Clinton in head-to-head matchups with Trump.
Peter Morici, a conservative economist and professor in the business school at the University of Maryland, said the poor jobs numbers reflected trends that have driven voter frustration and fuelled the populist campaigns of both Trump and Sanders. One is California, which has more Democratic delegates than any other state and where both have been campaigning heavily.
“Usually it means we really don’t get a big say”, said David Baggins, a political science professor at Cal State East Bay.
Superdelegates have historically backed the candidate who wins the most delegates from primaries and caucuses.
“I think the attacks that he’s routinely engaged in – for example, going after Susana Martinez, the Republican governor of New Mexico, the chairman of the Republican Governors’ Association – I think, was a big mistake”, McConnell said.
Sanders’s campaign spent months registering voters, and informing those with “no party preference” that they could request Democratic ballots.
Over the course of the past year, Clinton has been talking primarily to Democratic Party primary voters.
The speech was targeted not at the California voters who go to the polls on June 7, but at the military-intelligence apparatus which will play a more prominent, backstage role in determining the next president.
Sanders, however, acknowledged that it’s unlikely he’ll be able to turn around his fortunes. But it put Ryan into another kind of hard position, which is having to answer for everything that Trump has to say.
Don’t be surprised if Sanders wins California and, while losing the nomination, winds up in a great spot to negotiate for the ultimate consolation prize: a place on the ticket as Clinton’s running mate. Barack Obama be nominated by acclamation. Two of the territory’s superdelegates have already stated they plan to support the former secretary of state.
I was determined to get behind Bernie somehow, so a couple months ago I tracked down a group of dedicated Bernie fans called Australians Supporting Bernie Sanders.
Sanders wants Democrats to break with tradition.
The editorial board wrote that Clinton “is not only more knowledgeable about domestic and global affairs than Sanders, but also more likely to achieve objectives they have in common”.

Speaking of superdelegates – the Democratic elected officials and other party insiders whose votes for the nomination are not tied to their state’s results – there are still more than 125 elsewhere who have not come out for either candidate. “It’s a game-changer”, said Salazar, whose average donation from Sanders’ email was $5. This is not the time for Sanders to give up.
“I don’t think any of this helps anybody”, she added.
