The other 11 students, out of the total 13 toppers who appeared for a re-test, were given a clean chit for performing exceedingly well. Ruby Ray had in a video called political science “prodigal science”, and said the subject was about cookery.
Chairman of the Bihar School Examination Control Board Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh said Rai and Sresth’s results were put on hold.
He also said that strict action will be taken against the toppers if they do not perform well in the interview and exam that will be conducted.
When asked what Political Science subject deals with, she replies it deals with cooking.
“The BSEB has chose to cancel result of Science topper Saurabh Shrestha and another rank holder in the same stream, Rahul Kumar, as their performance in the re-test was found not up to mark”, BSEB Chairman Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh said.
Rubi, who topped in the exams conducted by the Bihar School Examination Control Board (BSEB), shocked and surprised all when she told a local TV channel that one of her subjects was “Prodical Science”, instead of political science.
Saurabh wants to become a scientist. According to Board sources, both Ruby and Saurav were from Vishun Ray College in Vaishali.
Rubi reportedly informed the board that she is not well and unable to appear for the re-exam.
The BSEB Chairman said the Board also chose to suspend code of Bishun Rai Intermediate college from where the dubious Arts and Science toppers hail. However, BSEB said that the reduced pass percentage in the Bihar board this year itself shows that there had been no fraud.
