Ross clarifies that a Rockstar developer or an artist has access to such leaked images which could have been revealed through his online portfolio. He was looking around on the website of an ex-Rockstar employee when he found the image behind a password-protected folder.
Gaudynights explained how he got that conclusion, saying that he got interested in checking out Rockstar Games‘ website after seeing a Reddit thread asking if the company’s website was dead because people couldn’t connect to it.
According to the brief summary of Gaudynights’s post, “Rockstar’s games list page linked to two 404ed game pages that match the number format to suggest 2 RDR titles”. It is also speculated that the open-world gun-slinging game will be available by 2017 and will be officially called “Red Dead Redemption: Legends of the West”. In it, we have a building that looks like it could be found in Thieve’s Landing, a location from Red Dead Redemption. The source of this leak has been credited to Matt Clyne, a senior artist at Machine Zone Inc., who had earlier worked with Rockstar San Diego.
‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ Is Really Happening? Both games are published by Take-Two, so there could be some crossovers with the franchises.
The E3 2016 is scheduled for June 14 to 16 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. However, the rumors of a Red Dead Redemption 2 are constantly flowing, so just expect a “when”, rather than an “if” for that.
No Virtual Reality Tie-In For Upcoming “Red Dead Redemption 2”?
So, if Red Dead Redemption is getting a sequel, what about GTA 5?
Rockstar’s website was down for a while, and according to the tipster, it is because the developer is updating the website.
Zelnick, however, stressed that his statements don’t necessarily mean the company is ruling out VR tie-ins.
