Hostess: Additionally, Hostess Brands has recalled its Hostess Donettes – powdered mini donuts – because the product may contain peanut residue.

The recall includes Ding Dongs, Zingers, Chocodiles and different types of donuts. Impacted products were sold in grocery stores, dollar stores, drug stores and convenience stores throughout the United States and Mexico.
Following a recall by the Kashi Company over Listeria concerns, Giant and Martin’s have removed certain products from their shelves. Out of an abundance of caution, we are recalling the specific products listed on the attachment. Consuming foods contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes can cause listeriosis, which is an uncommon but potentially fatal disease. To date, Hostess has received two reports of allergic reaction due to consuming these products. However, listeriosis can cause high fever, severe headache, neck stiffness and nausea.
Anyone with an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts who consumes any of the snacks involved in the recall may run into the risk of a serious or life-threatening reaction.
Customers who have purchased these products should discard any unused portions and bring their purchase receipt to Giant for a full refund. It can also lead to fatal infections in people with weakened immune systems.
