Giants have deal with veteran wide receiver James Jones

Jones has 383 job gets for 7,971 front or back yards and 43 touchdowns.

Wide receiver James Jones has been patiently waiting for an opportunity this offseason, and now the 31-year-old says he is headed to the New York Giants on a one-year deal, according to Fallon Smith of CSN Bay Area. He spent his first seven seasons with the Green Bay Packers, with his best year coming in 2012 when he had 98 catches, including 14 for touchdowns.

Jones joins a stud receiving corps complete with Rookie of the Year phenom Odell Beckham Jr., former Pro Bowler Victor Cruz and Reuben Randle. It’s extremley unlikely, however, where the veteran will surely be overwhelmed after his yrs with Aaron Rodgers the good flying in an airplane Packers. “I’m just here to compete”, Jones said. “I’ve been a part of offenses like that when defenses had big problems stopping a lot of weapons, especially if you’re rolling them in and out… this is going to be a tough offense to stop”.
