Obama honors Super Bowl champion Broncos at White House
Demaryius Thomas came to the White House with a letter for President Obama. “Apparently, John Elway knows what he’s doing”, Obama said, before receiving a Broncos Obama jersey and signed helmet.

The White House says Obama will add a stop in Spain on July 9 to his previously announced trip to Poland starting July 7 for a North Atlantic Treaty Organisation summit.
President Barack Obama, always known for a couple of good one-liners during team visits (see: Alabama), dropped a pretty good one on Manning.
The Denver Broncos visited the White House on Monday to celebrate their victory over the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50 in February with President Barack Obama. The Broncos, he noted, won a record 11 games by a touchdown or less. He says teams can’t do that without a great defense.
Obama reminded the audience in the Rose Garden that he’s a huge Chicago Bears fan.
“Nobody remembers”, he said.
“I don’t know if I’ll say something to him”.
Obama singled Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware for particular praise.
“The visit to Spain, an important NATO Ally, will highlight robust security cooperation, a strong political and economic relationship, and longstanding people-to-people ties”, Earnest said.
Manning, who chose to retire after an incredible 18-year career, stood directly behind Obama during the ceremony. But Obama quickly made up for it.
Obama jokingly referred to Manning as “the guy from those commercials” before waxing poetic about one of the greatest careers college or pro football has ever seen.
