Bale gave Wales a huge fitness scare during Real Madrid’s Champions League final victory on Saturday night when he was barely able to run during the 30 minutes of extra time.

“I want to show that I’m more than capable of standing up and proving I can play at this level”.

Coleman has to make a decision on Joe Ledley, who fractured his left leg playing for Crystal Palace on May 7 but still hopes to make the squad after stepping up his recovery programme in Portugal.

Wales will then play England in Lens on 11th June and travel to Toulouse for their final group game against Russian Federation on 20th June.

“Since we’ve qualified our results are nothing to shout about”, said Coleman.

“[Ledley] trained on the grass, albeit with the medical team, and looked good”.

Sunderland full-back Adam Matthews misses out after ending the season on loan at Bristol City, as does Newcastle’s Paul Dummett and Wigan midfielder Emyr Huws.

CHRIS Coleman has warned his Wales stars to guard against complacency as they embark on their Euro 2016 adventure.

“I think it’s good for Aaron if he’s flying under the radar, he won’t have a problem with that”. “But we beat Belgium last summer – one of the best teams in the world – and we know the quality we have as a group”.

“We’ve got to get it right when the pressure’s on in the tournament and all the eyes are on us”.

“I wouldn’t like to play us because of our threats, being hard to break down and having a world-class player in Gareth”.

“I am delighted he won it and he came back fit”.

Coleman will name a final 23-man squad for the European Championship on May 31.

The Clarets’ target man, who scored 15 league goals in Burnley’s 2015/16 promotion winning season will be joining Champions League victor Gareth Bale in a rejuvenated Wales set up.
