During the UFC 199 show, the UFC announced that Lesnar, arguably one of the biggest pay-per-view stars in mixed martial arts, will fight at UFC 200 in Las Vegas on July 9.

Since quitting MMA, Lesnar has been an active member of the WWE roster and competed back at WrestleMania in April where he defeated Dean Ambrose in a “street fight”.
‘It’s taken some time for things to play out, but I just said, “What are the chances of having Brock Lesnar on the card at UFC 200?”
On whether Lesnar will decide to continue to fight in the UFC after his fight with Hunt, Lesnar said, “It may just be a tease, I don’t know the answer to that question right now”, said Lesnar”. “That decision has haunted me for the past 15 months”.
“The true competitor in me is still alive and well”, Lesnar said.
For the WWE, Lesnar builds a crossover appeal and generates huge buzz at what will likely be the biggest event in UFC history all leading up to SummerSlam in August. Shortly after the UFC made the announcement of Lesnar’s return on Saturday night, WWE issued the following statement. Lesnar ruled out a return to MMA last March after re-signing with the WWE.
Lesnar said he wasn’t at the top of his game at the top of his career, due to the diverticulitis.
Lesnar’s the only fighter to have achieved the UFC World Heavyweight Championship, IWGP, WWE, and NCAA Division 1 Heavyweight Championships.
This will be Lesnar’s second run at in the UFC. I think I match up every well. I don’t want to be sitting 20 years from now saying, ‘You should’ve done that’.
Like Lesnar, Jones is also gunning to reclaim what was rightfully his as he faces current light heavyweight champion, Daniel Cormier.
“Why not?” Lesnar said of facing one of the UFC’s heaviest hitters. The 38-year-old former UFC Heavyweight Champion claimed to have initiated the proceedings for his return, contacting Dana White about a comeback.

The move is mutually beneficial for both UFC and WWE.
