Republicans Zoeller, Walorski slam Trump on judge comments

There was no mention of apologizing or backing away from his widely criticized remarks about U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who is overseeing cases against the Trump University real-estate program. The presumptive Republican presidential nominee has argued that Curiel has an inherent conflict of interest in deliberating a case involving his for-profit university because his parents emigrated to the U.S. from Mexico.

On Sunday, Trump doubled down on the idea. He recently said he didn’t know if a Muslim judge could be fair to him. “That would be possible, absolutely”. The statement drew fast criticism from several Republican leaders. I don’t think it reflects well on the Republican Party.

“Given TU students” radically different experiences, plaintiffs can not show that TU students were exposed to the same “core’ misrepresentations”, Daniel Petrocelli, a lawyer for Trump, wrote in Friday’s filing.

Dawson works for the city of Elkhart and although many at the event share his feelings, Trump signs can still be found on front yards in Goshen. According to The Post, Trump said, “As far as Newt is concerned, I saw Newt, I was surprised that Newt – I thought it was inappropriate what he said”. “This is no longer the primaries”. Trump said. “That’s one of the reasons I want to have this call, because you guys are getting sometimes stupid information from people that aren’t so smart”.
