It all came in a 7-0 win to complete a four-game sweep of the Royals and extend their lead in the American League Central to 1.5 games, their widest margin of the season.

Lindor is 6 for 13 with a home run, triple and two doubles in the first three games of this set after going 0 for 11 in the previous three. Lindor is the first Indians shortstop to have three extra-base hits in a game since Asdrubal Cabrera had three doubles on June 1, 2011. After him, Edinson Volquez, Ian Kennedy, and Chris Young each gave up five runs in their starts against the Indians.

Perez has been out since last Saturday with a quad contusion, but manager Ned Yost suggested Perez could see the field at some point this weekend. “We had our opportunities and couldn’t capitalize”.

There are 55 games down, 107 to go in a season of increasingly bright promise.

Yordano Ventura allowed two runs in seven innings. In the fourth, Mike Napoli led off with a fly ball a mile high that first appeared to be a routine out, but was carried by the wind over the wall, for Napoli’s 14th home run of the year.

Your best player to add for this week is the Cleveland Indians’ Tyler Naquin. Tyler Naquin drew a walk to load the bases with one out. “It’s frustrating because you work your butt off the whole time – and I felt pretty good throwing everything – only to hurt yourself with just a couple of mistakes”.

Danny Salazar pitched like an ace Friday night.

It was the first time since July 29, 2015, that the Indians hit three home runs in one inning.

KANSAS CITY: The Royals are winless in their last four road games but are still 13-6 in their last 19 games overall. Already with 42 RBIs this season, when guys get on base in front of him Napoli tends to knock them in. “We’ve got a lot of good teams in the division, and we’re back in first place if we win tomorrow”. The World Series MVP missed six games after bruising his left thigh in a collision with teammate Cheslor Cuthbert against the White Sox. “No problems. I feel good, great”. Alcides Escobar singled in the sixth for his 1,000th career hit. “I couldn’t quite make the adjustment to get it back on the corners”.

“You never know what he’s going to pull off”, Tomlin said. He is expected to be activated off the disabled list Monday…. He has logged two relief appearances since coming off the 15-day DL with a sore forearm on May 28.

Kluber worked six scoreless innings, allowing only two hits while striking out six to notch his fifth win in 12 starts before a lengthy rain delay (three hours and 10 minutes) forced his departure.
