Judge attacked by Trump has Chicago area roots

The presumptive GOP presidential nominee is going after Curiel because he is presiding over an ongoing class-action lawsuit about the mogul’s now-defunct “Trump University”, which a number of former employees, instructors and students say was a fraud.

Curiel’s parents emigrated to America from Mexico, but the presiding judge was born in IN and is an American citizen.

Incredulously Trump argues that the Indiana-born judge is biased against him because “he’s a Mexican”. There should be no trial.

“Political discourse is always somewhat cartoonish in a way, and hyperbolic, but there are limits, and I can’t think of any serious presidential candidate who has stretched the limits to the degree which Trump has”, he said.

“Let me ask you about comments you made about the judge in the Trump University case”, Tapper said. He was nominated to the federal bench by President Barack Obama in 2011 after serving five years on the Superior Court of San Diego.

On Friday’s edition of MSNBC’s “With All Due Respect”, two white guys had a spirited debate over a question that has America stumped: Were the comments Donald Trump made about Judge Gonzalo Curiel’s ethnicity racist? “Neither Judge Curiel’s ethnicity nor the fact we crossed paths as prosecutors in the U.S. Attorney’s office well over a decade ago is to blame”, Forge told The Journal.

He has proposed building a wall along the USA border with Mexico to prevent illegal immigration and requiring Mexico to pay for it. “And so Mr. Trump is just stating the obvious”.

The notion that judges can not rule on cases involving religious, racial or other minorities of which they are members is universally discredited in the American legal system. “Now this judge is of Mexican heritage, I’m building a wall”.

“We ought to be trying to unify, he ought to be trying to unify the party behind him”, McConnell said of Trump. Generously granting that it’s “great” and “fine” for Mr Curiel to have Mexican roots, but implying precisely the opposite, Mr Trump neglected to note that the federal judge is in fact an American citizen who was born in IN in 1953. “Mexico is fine”, Trump said when pressed about his remarks by Jake Tapper. “It’s an inherent conflict of interest”, Mr. Trump said. “How dare he. How dare he question a judge’s responsibility, a judge’s adherence to the Constitution, because he is of Mexican descent?” First, she points out that Curiel is a member of a Hispanic lawyers’ association with no partisan affiliation whatsoever, not a member of a group that has been protesting Donald Trump as has been claimed.

During previous campaign stops, Trump has blasted Mexican immigrants as criminals and charged them with “bringing drugs, bringing crime, they’re rapists”. After attacking her record last week, Trump on Thursday moderated his tone and said he would like her endorsement.

“I’ve been treated very unfairly by this judge”. I have a case that should have been dismissed already.
