Shaq: Cavs need better Irving, ‘punked’ Love in NBA Finals
They are rightfully in the conversation as one of the best teams of all time.

Our two favorite players will continue to battle it out in the finals, and as we root for each one of them let’s not forget that our love for the sport should not equate to bashing and name-calling.
There have been moments of success – just not enough to make this a series.
The Warriors won the first two games of the series by a combined 48 points, exhibiting a toughness and ferocity that was overshadowed by their glitzy offense during a record-setting regular season. The Cavaliers face a 2-0 series deficit after back-to-back blowout losses at Golden State.
“The next couple days, I won’t be reflecting”, James said. “I believe this is the best decision for me at this stage of my career”.
James and the Cavs have plenty of work to do before the series resumes Wednesday in Cleveland.
Getty Images The Warriors haven’t needed Stephen Curry do to a plethora of scoring thus far to win, but they can’t expect that trend to continue on the road.
If Lue really wants to shake things up – and what does he have to lose at this point, other than two more games? – he could even start Frye in place of Tristan Thompson, the theory being Frye would get more 3-point attempts playing against Golden State center Andrew Bogut.
Cavaliers forward Kevin Love has been cleared to travel after suffering a concussion in Game 2 of the NBA Finals. But he played just 21 minutes in Game 2 and left with a possible concussion after taking an elbow to the back of the head in the first half.
A Cavaliers spokesman confirmed that Love was on the flight.
You don’t do what Tyronn Lue did after Game 2, which was to dismiss the notion that his Cavaliers’ confidence was wounded in a game in which 35-year-old journeyman Richard Jefferson was his team’s second-leading scorer.
Vonn had to put that fight on hold as she dealt with crashes and major knee injuries and surgeries in 2013 and 2014, but since returning a little more than a year and a half ago, she has said she still hopes to race against men.
But there are people in Cleveland and Miami who both say you wanted to win before you went to South Beach, and were obsessed by it afterwards.
Players such as Boston’s Isaiah Thomas and Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid have tweeted their desire for Durant to join them. As long as they aren’t committing fouls, they force low percentage shots and live with the results. “You know, I’m trying to chase rings, and that’s what I’m all about”.
The kind of resistance LeBron James and company put up in the 2015 Finals was missing in the first two games of this season’s Finals.
“Because remember past year, the story line was, ‘OK, Golden State, you won a championship, but that’s because Kyrie and Kevin Love weren’t playing.’ Now they’re playing, now you’ve got to play like you know how to play”, O’Neal said Monday night. In Game 1, Curry only scored 11 points while the Warriors cruised. “We’ve got to be better at all facets of the game, both offensively and defensively, both physically and mentally”, the four-time league MVP said. These were arguably the two best teams in the National Basketball Association, and now that both were at full strength (for the most part), we were finally getting the matchup we’d craved since a year ago.
Everyone loves to see the Warriors run and score, but they are doing it with defense, holding Cleveland under 100 points in ten straight games.
“The hardest part of the series is coming up when we go to Cleveland”, Thompson said. And in our opinion, these five reactions perfectly sum up the first two games of the 2016 Finals. This year was supposed to be proof of that, how Cleveland is even more formidable with Irving. “They’re not very nice in Cleveland, the fans, and that’s all right”.
That’s nearly an obligatory sentiment, though.

“Selfish is probably the wrong term.I’ve got to be better”, James said.
