New claimants will get a week from filing the initial notice to file the questionnaire, which asks for details on their parentage and requires supporting documents including birth and parents’ marriage certificates.
The special administrator would let claimants know within three days whether their claimed familial relationship is already established as a matter of law, or if DNA testing is necessary.

In a written statement, Carthens, who is now in prison, said that not only was he adopted by Prince but also that Prince in fact did leave behind a will in which he was left $7 million.
The judge officially allowed Bremer Trust executives to test the singer’s blood for potential DNA matches in May.
Last week the Midwest Medical Examiner’s office announced that the singer died of a self-administered overdose of the opioid painkiller Fentanyl.
Notable claimants include Darcell Gresham Johnston, who claims to be Prince’s half sister, and Carlin Q. Williams, who believes he is Prince’s son.

The next hearing in this case has been scheduled for June 27 at 8:30 a.m.at the Carver County Justice Center.
