Brock Lesnar (understandably) considered underdog for UFC comeback

Well, according to well-respected MMA reporter Jeremy Botter, that’s about to change. According to a report on FORBES, “According to sources, WWE is hoping that by allowing Lesnar to compete at UFC 200 (and perhaps beyond) it will open the doors for some things in return from UFC”.

But it appears there’s finally a target date for CM Punk’s debut, and it happens to be at UFC 202.

“CM Punk is probably fighting by the way”. This realm is for the real fighters, not these damn pretenders. And though the fight is likely to do little to bolster Hunt’s ranking, it was an opportunity he couldn’t really pass up, he said.

Lesnar moved to a farm near the village of Maryfield, located 250 kilometres southeast of Regina, after leaving the UFC in 2011.

It was a highly unexpected announcement on Saturday night when the UFC confirmed that Brock Lesnar was coming out of retirement to return to the Octagon for at least one more fight. You don’t make this fight without going through me.

On Lesnar helping himself: “I think (Lesnar) can catch up with good training and sparring, if he stays active”.

It was expected that Lesnar might have a cupcake for this appearance, but as we’ve seen from the last few times he’s been in the octagon, Hunt is anything but a cupcake. So, it looks like Punk is relatively healthy, and he should be able to make it through a full training camp. On Monday evening, he said Helwani could only attend UFC 200 if he bought a ticket, seemingly enforcing the ban.

Helwani publicly acknowledged on his podcast that there was a conflict of interest while employed at FOX on pre and post fight coverage of UFC.

More importantly, the UFC has been reportedly looking for a suitable match to fill in the void now that Conor McGregor will not be fighting Nate Diaz in UFC 200. The company has expected that Punk will be a huge draw for them whenever he does fight, which is why they’ve been so patient with him. Lesnar did not officially sign his UFC and bout agreement until Friday, so he could not have started the anti-doping policy process any sooner, Sholler said.
