Rocket League’s next update introduces rarer items and a trade-in system
Extra rare items and an all-new trade-in system will be introduced to Rocket League later this month.

Previously, Psyonix celebrated the game’s origins by releasing a few vehicles for Rocket League which first existed in the original title, now, with a new batch of DLC for the game, players can purchase some more, too.
Psyonix revealed that Rare and Very Rare items are coming to “Rocket League”, in addition to a trade-in system.
Rare and Very Rare decals and boost trails can be obtained by trading in multiple common items, or dropped by playing online. For example, if you have five Uncommon items, you can trade them in for a Rare one. Players will also be able to trade in five Uncommon items in their inventory to receive a Rare one when a trade-in system goes live. Additionally, it is also noted that, “the “Trade-In System” is created to let you get rid of unwanted or duplicate items, and players should consider carefully when trading now versus what they might want to keep for future player-trading opportunities”. The company announced it because players, instead of trading in duplicate of their items, may want to hold on to them and instead try to trade them to other players in the future, as they might get better value that way.

Psyonix says it plans to implement player trading as well, though it didn’t say exactly when. Both cars will be making their appearance in Rocket League starting next month on July 18.
