Mackenzie Davis Joins Ryan Gosling In Blade Runner Sequel
She will be joining Ryan Gosling (Drive) and returning star of the original, Harrison Ford as well as Robin Wright (Netflix’s House of Cards) and Ana de Armas (Knock Knock).

Harrison Ford who starred in the 1982 sci-fi film will reprise his character as replicant hunter.
The plot of the film is being fiercely guarded. The script by original film co-writer Hampton Fancher and Michael Green, based on a story by Fancher and Blade Runner director Ridley Scott, is shrouded in mystery. Ford is once again playing Rick Deckard and the film takes place, in something approximating real time, a few decades after the original film. Ridley Scott is executive producing, with multi-Oscar nominated cinematographer Roger Deakins (Sicario, Prisoners) set to reunite with Villeneuve on the project. Alcon acquired the rights to continue the franchise back in 2011, more specifically the “film, television and ancillary franchise rights” to “produce prequels and sequels to the iconic science-fiction thriller”, so this could be just the start of multiple new stories set in that world.
Davis made notable turns in the 2015 Matt Damon hit “The Martian” and in Zac Efron’s “That Awkward Moment”.
Production on the “Blade Runner” sequel begins in July, for an October 6, 2017 release.

Davis was also previously seen in horror comedy Freaks of Nature and now stars as computer programmer Cameron Howe in TV series Halt and Catch Fire.
