World is better off with Hillary Clinton
Clinton, the former secretary of state, euphorically seized the Democratic Party mantle on Tuesday, seizing the nomination in dramatic fashion with primary wins in four of six states including the grand prize, California.

AP journalists were the first to call the race for Clinton Monday night after confirming with enough delegates and superdelegates to push her over the threshold needed to win the nomination. In the Louisiana primary for example, she gained 37 delegates, or one for every 5,993 voters who chose her. Mr Sanders took 14 delegates, or one for every 5,163 voters who backed him.
“Tonight caps an wonderful journey – a long, long journey”, she said at a rally in Brooklyn.
Bernie Sanders also claimed wins, in North Dakota and Montana.
Sanders said Tuesday night after his losses in New Jersey and California, “I am pretty good in arithmetic and I know that the fight in front of us is a very, very steep fight'”.
News of the expected layoffs came as the Democratic primary contest headed into its final stretch, and shortly after the Associated Press deemed Clinton the party’s presumptive nominee after contacting superdelegates.
She Could Make History Again With Her VP Pick SAUL LOEB/AFP/Getty ImagesL-R: US Senator John Kerry, US President Barack Obama’s nominee for Secretary of State, Sen. “At some point, when we’re trying to flip 400 super-delegates, and it’s not gaining traction, I think you have to come to the conclusion that it’s not going to happen”. Several told Reuters in recent days that they would have trouble supporting Clinton in a matchup against Trump, saying they either would not vote or would support a third-party candidate. As Sanders supporters’ have long said, their movement is bigger than the presidency, but they want the presidency, too.
Carson then pointed to history to support why he feels America is headed down the wrong pathway and needs to begin making changes soon.
“We plan to line the streets from where his plane arrives to say: ‘Thank you Bernie!”
It may be a while before some of these angry Sanders’ supporters are ready to jump on the Clinton bandwagon. Reporting until recently had attributed the increasingly bitter campaign tone to Sanders’ aides. But if Clinton supporters thought the senator was going to stand down, they thought wrong. He vowed to fight on for a political revolution but showed signs he would bow to the inevitable and bring his insurgent effort to a close.
Hillary Clinton has been the almost-certain Democratic presidential nominee for weeks. The United States has hosted 56 presidential elections. At Sanders’ request, he will meet with Obama at the White House on Thursday, perhaps paving the way for an accord.
There is a unique feature of this year’s race that gives Sanders another reason to hang around: an ongoing FBI investigation into Clinton’s email practices.
“I don’t see any dramatic walkouts or protests or egg throwing or anything like that”, says Lupita Maurer, a superdelegate and Democratic National Committee member from Oregon.
