LEGENDARY: A New Vixen Is Set To Join DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow
With Legends of Tomorrow getting a second season and a few of the actors from the first season moving on as their character arcs ended and changed, there are a few open seats. However … she won’t be played by Megalyn E.K. She has already been confirmed to appear as a series regular, but unfortunately, it will not be the same Vixen that appeared during season 4 of Arrow. So Vixen will be a full time member of the Legends team, but it will not be the Mari McCabe version of the character. It is definitely unfortunate to lose cast members like Wentworth Miller’s Captain Cold, who is moving into a more general role within the Arrow-verse, but it means allowing for new characters like Hourman (Patrick J. Adams) and the introduction of the Justice Society. Are you disappointed it won’t be Megalyn E.K.’s Vixen who’ll be joining the crew of The Waverider for more time traveling adventures, or are you psyched about the introduction of a new/old Vixen?

Instead of Echikunwoke as Mari McCabe (Vixen), we’ll be seeing a new version of Vixen on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, who is from the past and may or may not be connected to McCabe’s Vixen.
Echikunwoke expressed her desire to expand her role as Vixen at the CW Upfronts.

Casting is now under way for our new Vixen. An African-American, she is scrutinized in her time for both her gender and race and thus has worked twice as hard to be a flawless soldier.
