Piers Morgan demands Arsenal sign Karim Benzema after Chelsea win
Arsene Wenger has dismissed speculation linking Arsenal with Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.

Ex-Arsenal man Paul Merson has told Arsene Wenger to ditch Francis Coquelin and sign Barcelona’s Sergio Busquets in this summer’s transfer window.
Despite claiming after last week’s 6-0 thrashing of Lyon that Arsenal are not desperate to sign a new striker, reports are growing that a significant bid for Benzema is in the pipeline.
Benzema most definitely is, and if he joins the Gunners and adapts to the Premier League quickly, he can turn them into real contenders for top spot.
“I think there is no doubt about it, I’ve been in that dressing room when a top player comes in, it sends a ripple through the dressing room you feel nearly invincible and on the outside the opposition look at how good you were before and think how much better you will be now”.
Wenger admitted last week that getting Benzema would be near-impossible but AS believes that is aimed to divert the attentions.
“Arsenal need an experienced player, especially when you get to the latter stages of the Champions League”. Theo Walcott has just signed a new contract so there are lots of options.
The plot is thickening in the Karim Benzema-to-Arsenal saga, if transfer journalism Twitter is to be believed.

There is, of course, also the possibility that if Benzema and Aguero both really wanted changes of scenery, the two clubs could work out some sort of deal between them, and leave Arsenal out of the mix entirely.
