Ready to back Clinton, Obama works to unite fractured Dems

“I think that our primary contest was good for the Democratic Party and good for America”. We’re going to bring in someone else, ‘ Sanders added. “I don’t think it’s an open-and-shut question”.

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders has maintained that this is his path to the Democratic Party’s nomination, as results from state primaries show his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton with a majority of the popular vote, pledged delegates, and won states.

After deciding not to enter the race himself, Biden often made favorable comments about Sanders but did not endorse a candidate.

Clinton’s speech was many things, including a call for unity aimed at both Bernie Sanders’s supporters and all those who are troubled by Donald Trump’s candidacy. He and the president are due to meet, at the senator’s request, tomorrow.

National Democrats will surely increase the pressure on Sanders to end his campaign after Tuesday’s contests – especially if he does lose in California. “I know that feeling well”, said Clinton in an attempt to connect with Sanders’ supporters using her loss in 2008 primary race to Barack Obama.

“When you have performed as well as Senator Sanders has, he certainly exceeded everybody’s expectations, possibly even his own, in terms of the support and enthusiasm that he would generate and carry all across the country, he’s earned the opportunity to make these decisions based on his own thinking and based on his own schedule”, he said.

If the negative factor is not enough for a chapter in a political science text, Clinton and Trump have made-and continue to make-political history on other fronts.

Frame said her bid to chair this year’s event is not intended as a criticism of state party officials, whom she said have treated the Sanders campaign fairly.

Despite Clinton’s successes, Sanders has shown no signs he intends to quit campaigning. Trump says he does not believe he can receive a fair trial because of Curiel’s Mexican heritage, though Curiel was born in Indiana. She’s been comfortable, authoritative, and, yes, presidential.

The primary season is winding down, and Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are now the respective presumptive presidential nominees for the Democratic and Republican parties.

“It’s nearly like he’s running for a third term for president”, said Brinkley. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., speaks at a rally Tuesday, June 7, 2016, in Santa Monica, Calif.

The much-needed winning streak allowed Clinton to celebrate her long-sought “milestone” – the first woman poised to lead a major political party’s presidential ticket.

Trump said on Wednesday he was “disappointed and surprised” by the charges of racism from Republicans.

“Essentially, yes, of course”, Gallego told CNN’s Alex Rosen.

But House Democratic leaders, gathered for a weekly meeting just hours after Clinton’s decisive wins in California, New Jersey and elsewhere Tuesday, were hesitant to go so far. “Sanders’ supporters will join us in making sure that Donald Trump doesn’t get anywhere near the White House”.

Both Clinton and Trump must unite their parties behind them but the Democrat appeared to face the easier path with Sanders, a leftist United States senator from Vermont, almost out of options to challenge her.

“That’s what I’m saying”.

“First of all, a lot of what [Trump] says, frankly, are lies” and “He’s been hanging out with a bunch of Clinton haters and they filled him full of junk, which is what you’re going to hear”, he said.

Biden expressed little shock that Sanders was drawing ample support, which some thought would be hard for a candidate who identified as a democratic socialist.
