Ontario Hit With Intense Rain And Hail Storms On Sunday #OnStorm
The Hydro One website indicated that by 3 a.m. Monday morning, about 27,000 customers were still without power. There were multiple power outages, Toronto Hydro said, and the Veld Music Festival was cancelled. In the Orillia area, over 16 hundred customers are without power.

There were reports on social media that the storm brought heavy rain, hail and high winds in some areas.
The Waterloo Region was also under a severe thunderstorm warning, some parts of Waterloo were even battered by large hail. Many of those outages were reported in the area south of the Bathurst Street and Eglinton Avenue West, according to Toronto Hydro.
Caledon and surrounding areas remained under a severe thunderstorm warning Sunday evening (Aug. 2) at approximately 7:30 p.m.
Areas between Lake Huron and Toronto also experienced power outrages from the storm.
Ontario Provincial Police say officers are getting countless reports of downed trees and powerlines, but there are no reports of serious damage.

There were four reports of possible tornado sightings during the storm, but those have yet to be confirmed by Environment Canada.
