Neil Lennon agrees to become Hibernian manager
Former Celtic defender Tom Boyd insists that Neil Lennon will have nothing to prove if he takes over at Hibernian, despite an unsuccessful stint in charge of Bolton.

The 44-year-old has agreed a two-year deal at Easter Road, replacing Alan Stubbs who recently left for Rotherham United.
But Hibs chief executive Leeann Dempster has acted swiftly to reportedly land Lennon.
Lennon – who is expected to be unveiled at a press conference on Thursday – has turned down a lucrative move to China to kick-start his career back in Scotland. I’ve got big admiration for the club and have done for a long time.
Lennon, who won three Scottish titles with Celtic, left cash-strapped English side Bolton Wanderers in March prior to their relegation to the third-tier of English football.
Lennon has had plenty of success in Scottish football.
“I wouldn’t rule out an interest in Anthony Stokes”, said Stubbs.
But he quit Parkhead at the end of that season after becoming frustrated with the lack of resources being made available to him by the Hoops hierarchy. They’ve got the monkey off their back with winning the Scottish Cup as well.
Celtic had initially indicated a desire to take up a year’s option on Stokes in the hope of commanding a possible £500,000 fee this summer.

The deadline for Hibs season ticket applications is imminent and the club have set a target of 10,000 sales, so were anxious to have their new manager in place as soon as possible. However, he leaves on a high after helping the team to a historic Scottish Cup win following a wait of an incredible 114 years.
