His father Trever Webb arrived in Vietnam on Tuesday to join the search for his son.

They estimated he had died three days ago.
Aiden is a keen rock climber but Bluebell said she wasn’t capable of making the climb up Fansipan Mountain herself so experienced Aiden set out on his own.
Girlfriend Bluebell Baughan, 24, had kept in contact with Aiden throughout his climb by mobile phone but he became scared after he fell and injured his arm and leg.
“The position is quite near the location that his girlfriend gave us, in Sin Chai village”.
The searchers are trying to find a way down to collect the body since the ravine is steep and risky.
After receiving information of the missing tourist, Sa Pa authorities sent rescue teams to the area.
A Facebook page set up by the family titled ‘Help us find Aiden in Vietnam’ has not been updated since the news broke, but condolence messages have begun pouring in.
“Aiden is lost, injured, cold & wet in the Vietnam Jungle”. The Facebook page was shut down Thursday afternoon local time. Before news of his death, an FCO spokesperson had told the Guardian that “staff in London and Vietnam have been providing advice and assistance to the family of Aiden Webb”.
It says: “The search for Aiden this morning has been intensified, i got word through the night that they have five drones with four-hour battery and they are allowed to fly, dogs are called in, local people are turning up thanks to my appeals, Aiden’s friends have turned up, special mountain search team and also they have some Sherpa people”.
Webb, a drama graduate of Anglia Ruskin University, had spent the last two months climbing around south-east Asia, including other sites in Vietnam and Thailand.

The backpacker had recently been climbing without a rope, a post on his Facebook profile suggested. This is something I’ve felt I’ve needed to do in a long time.
